Delete your Upwell account
Upwell, by [CONTROLLER NAME]. Deleting your account deletes it and everything it holds on our server, at once.
In the app
- Open Upwell and go to You › Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete.
Without the app
Write to privacy@upwell.page from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We check that the request comes from that address, delete the account and confirm by email — within one month at the latest.
What is deleted, at once
- Your sign-inEmail address and password.
- Your synced diaryEverything sync copied to our server, and your list of phones.
- Your consentsThe records of what you agreed to.
- Your sharingYour friends, what you shared and the records of who opened it.
What is kept, and for how long
| Database backups | Until they expire: up to 35 days. A backup taken before a server update is replaced after three more updates. Backups are used only to recover from a failure. |

On your phone
Deleting the account does not erase the diary on your phone. To erase it too: You › Data & privacy › Erase all data, or remove the app.
To delete only what our server holds and keep the account: You › Account › Delete the copy on Upwell.
